Her full statement reads in part below…

The signing of the NOT TOO YOUNG TO RUN Bill is a unique opportunity for women in Lagos State and Nigeria to vie for elective positions in 2019 and beyond.

The Omoh Campaign Organisation commends His Excellency, President Muhammad Buhari, for listening to the yearnings of over 70 millions youths in assenting to bill.

There could not have been a better time than now for youths particularly women to present themselves for elections and help in correcting the multi-layer levels of decay bedevilling our society today.

Kudos must be given to Civil Liberty Organisations particularly, Youth Initiative for Advocacy, Growth & Advancement (YIAGA), who have been at the forefront of the campaigns to get this feat achieved.

I am also using this opportunity To call on the Lagos State House of Assembly to revisit the passage of the law for appropriate domestication. Lagos State cannot afford to be anti-youth in Lawmaking in this age and time.
Congratulations to all youths who will be getting involved by virtue of this law.
