The angry mob that gathered at the Aga area of Ikorodu earlier this morning succeeded in killing the suspected member of the Badoo cult group despite the presence of security operatives.
Recall that there was an earlier report on how the suspect was arrested and detained by the local security outfit owned by the Ikorodu Division, Onyabo. The usual practice of the local vigilante group was to hand over the any arrested criminal to the Police. But the residents in this case would not have that happen.
According to an eyewitness who spoke with BlackBox Nigeria on the condition of anonymity said the community was tired of how the Lagos State Police Command was handling cases of criminal activities in the division and they have since passed a vote of no confidence on them.

Despite the presence of Police officers, and also operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, the suspected member of the dreaded group was not spared of mob action.
The eyewitness disclosed to BBN that the fact that some criminals who have been earlier arrested for one crime or the other have been released on bail in the past and the community will not have that happen again.
To worsen the situation, no less than two people were hit by bullets of SARS officials as they attempt to disperes the crowd so as to take away the suspect. This development was said to have caused a face off with the officials who later loosed grip of the suspect. He was mobbed to death on the spot.
