How 3 Residents Were Killed For Ambushing Lawmaker In Kwara State

Three residents who died due to the shooting by Military officers in Kwara North on Saturday have been alleged to have ambushed Senator Mohammed Lafiaji Sha’aba with dangerous weapons, BlackBox Nigeria reports.

According to a source in Ilorin who spoke to BBN on the condition of anonymity, the lawmaker was ambushed by individuals suspected to be thugs. The source disclosed that an eyewitness revealed that the attackers started shooting into the air before Military officers were called upon to calm the situation.

The situation however took a drastic turn when the officers shot at the people while trying to disperse the crowd which killed three of them on the spot and got many others injured.

It was learnt that the crowd had gathered to prevent the lawmaker from accessing the only road that links his village to the town due to his failure to help repair it, even after he was called upon to help. The road was then repaired by the residents who then warned the Kwara North Senatorial District at the National Assembly never to ply the route.
