Ikorodu, Odongunyan Residents Protest Over IkejaDisco’s Extortion, Estimated Billing

The residents of Odongunyan area of Ikorodu today staged a peaceful protest to Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company (IkejaDisco) office in Alausa over estimated billing and extortion by their marketers.

The protesters who are obviously displeased with the estimated billing and dehumanizing way IkejaDisco attends to their situation demanded immediate distribution of pre-paid metres in the area without paying.

Amongst the inscription on the placards are, ”we need prepaid meter in Elepete”, Ikeja Electricity Odongunyan Marketers are demanding for N100,000 for prepaid meter. Ole!”, ”N30,000 Per Month, Per Person. Ole!”
