Blue Print and Bold Plans For Lagos State Ready Soon, Jide Sanwo-Olu @JideS Says On Twitter

The new talk of town Governorship Aspirant in Lagos under the banner of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Jide Sanwo-olu says he will be engaging Lagosians with his Blue Print and Bold Plans for Lagos State soon.

While thanking those who have showed interest in his aspiration, the former Lagos state commissioner for Commerce and Industry posted, “Thank you all for your interest and support, in the coming days I hope to be engaging you my people more and we will put out our blueprint and bold plans for our dear Lagos State. God bless you all.”

But it seems the purported anointed candidate of the top hierarchy of Lagos APC is quite a busy man who is no given to the new Media frenzy.

Scanning through his twitter handle @JideS, BlackBox Nigeria realized that the experienced bureaucrat joined twitter sometimes in October 2010 but made his first comment in July 2011 and did not return until September 12, 2018, when he posted that he had submitted his nomination form.

“@ about 11.28 am today I submitted my completed forms for the governorship race of Lagos at the HQ of our great party @APCNigeria Long live the People of Lagos,” Sanwoolu tweeted after over 7 years.

So far, Sanwo- Olu, who was appointed the substantive Managing Director/CEO of Lagos State Development and Property Corporation ((LSDPC) in May 2016, has only posted five organic messages with others being retweets.

His most engaged tweet was the one showing his profile as an alumnus of University of Lagos with 112 retweets, 94 likes and 19 comments. As of September 13, 2018, Sanwo-Olu is following 64 handles while he has 1,806 followers.

In this new age where social media contributes significantly to a candidate’s political perception, mileage and acceptance particularly in Lagos, the economic capital and technology Hub of Nigeria.

With Lagos State’s army of young people who make living staying on social media, to be taken seriously, any future Governor of the State must be constructively engaging in their comfort zone.
