SHOWING POSSESSION WITH APOSTEOPHE (‘)

1. If owned by a singular noun that doesn’t end in s, use apostrophe and s: Gani’s bag.

2. If owned by a singular noun that ends in s, use apostrophe alone or apostrophe and s: James’ bag or James’s bag.

3. If owned by a plural noun that does not end in s, use apostrophe alone: Children’s bag.

4. If owned by a plural noun that ends in s, use apostrophe alone: Girls’ bag.
