Goalkeeper Babatunde John the Hero As Eko boys’ Cements Her Place In The 2018 Principals Cup Finals

Eko Boys’ High School, Mushin continued their rich vein of form when they confronted their counterparts from Surulere, Atunrase senior secondary school. The game ended 4 – 2 via penalty shoot out as the giants of Mushin  left Ilupeju secondary school, the venue of the game as finalists.

The Euba boys were taunting by many to walk over their opponent without hesitation. However, the first half was very tough as the ekorians were held to a 0-0 draw. Although the goalkeeper of Atunrase made some scintillating saves to prevent the 2014 LAFGHECA champions from going in front.

The second half was identical with the first as the ekorians came out to attack and dominated the run of play. However, they were not able to break the deadlock

They struggle so much but could not just get the job done till the center referee sounded the final whistle and both teams had to settle for the lottery of penalties.

The goalkeeper, Babatunde john was the hero here as he saves a penalty and also scored a penalty to make the giant book her place in the final, the game ended 4-2 in favour of the Ekorians.
