ASUU Strike Update: FG to meet with lecturers today

Striking lecturers will today be meeting with the Federal government with a hope to finally reach an agreement over the lingering strike which has paralysed academic activities in Nigerian universities.
The minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige is expected to meet with executive members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, a statement by the minister has revealed.
Ngige will be joined by the Education and Finance ministers as well as the Chairman, National Income Salaries and Wages Commission and Executive Secretary, National Universities Commission.
The statement signed by Deputy Director (Press), Ministry of Labour and Employment, Samuel Olowookere also disclosed that the President of the Nigerian Labour Congress will be a part of the meeting with ASUU.
