Newly elected Ijede Local Council Development Area Chairman, Comrade Salisu Fatiu has held his first stakeholders meeting. This is coming barely 15 days after he was elected on the platform of the All Progressive Congress.

Flanked by his amiable vice Chairman, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo and other council officials, Com. Fatiu met with community leaders, CDC and CDA representatives amongst others to discuss infrastructural needs in individual communities.

The representatives present made demands ranging from provision of borehole to fixing of their roads and other requests.

Speaking to BlackBox Nigeria, Com. Salisu disclosed that the stakeholders townhall meeting was a fulfilment of his campaign promise to run an all inclusive government.

“We are trying to know what the people want and this is in fulfilment of our campaign promise to ensure an all inclusive government.”

He further disclosed that he was “following in the footsteps of governor Akinwumi Ambode who returns to the people from time to time to feel their pulse.”

He also disclosed that the townhall meeting will be held frequently so he can be close to the grassroots.
